Digital Modems: ISDN, DSL, and Cable
•A digital modem is a communications device that sends and receives data and information to and      from a digital line.
•Three types of digital modems are ;
      1.ISDN modems
      2.DSL modems                                                                                     3.Cable modems.
Wireless Modems
•Wireless modems, which have an external or built-in antenna, are    available as
         1.USB flash drives
         2.ExpressCard modules
         3.PC Cards
         4.Memory cards.

Network Card
•A network card, sometimes called a network interface card (NIC)

•The network card coordinates the transmission and receipt of data, instructions, and information to    and from the computer or device containing the network card


Wireless Access Points
•A wireless access point is a central communications device
•Allows computers and devices to transfer data wirelessly among themselves or to transfer data  wirelessly to a wired network
